Thrales Rapper
Spawned from the coal mines of South Middlesex in 1994, Thrales have developed their own unique form of London knife crime.
The founding fathers of Thrales practiced in the Anchor pub in Southwark. The pub had once been part of Thrale & Co., a brewery owned by Henry and Hester Thrale (and later by Courage) which dominated Southwark until the 1980s. Having sharpened their rapper skills in the Thrale Room for weeks, the choice of team name seemed obvious.
Thrales Rapper have seen their share of DERT victory over the years, but for 2012 they have managed to get their grubby hands on the silverware without even competing. As the host side they are unable to take part in the main competition, but Thrales will be performing over the weekend, whether you like it or not.
