Haddo
Haddo are husband and wife duo Will and Nicky Pound, joining forces to create a new and unique sound. Combining rich and exotic melodeon harmonies with the dark tone of the viola, they take well known tunes and twist them 180 degrees. From morris to bluegrass, traditional tunes to their own compositions, Haddo are guaranteed to raise the roof.
Will Pound has recently been nominated for BBC Radio 2 folk awards musician of the year and is as well known for his harmonica pyrotechnics as he is for his virtuoso melodeon playing. He also featured on the BBC 2 documentary Goldies Band: By Royal Appointment, as well as playing on the latest Martin Simpson release, Purpose and Grace.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, Nicky is a historical performance specialist who has worked with names as diverse as Sir Colin Davis and Sir Elton John.
